Everything You Need to Know About Permanent Eyeliner

Jun 27, 2022

Do you ever wake up in the morning feeling rushed or just wishing you were more like Beyonce and just, “woke up like this”? With permanent eyeliner, you can say goodbye to exhausting makeup applications for good!

No more time-consuming sessions sitting at your vanity. No more weird looks because your ‘cat’s eye’ went beyond a ‘smokey eye’ and is running down your face. No more missed moments when socializing to touch up your eyeliner halfway through the night.

Permanent Makeup by Kimberly
offers experienced professionals and a licensed studio, to give you back your time and sanity with permanent makeup eyeliner.

What is Permanent Eyeliner?

Permanent eyeliner
is a method of using body-safe ink to “tattoo” pigmentation onto the skin to mimic the appearance of make-up. You can choose from a variety of colors and line thicknesses to suit your preference.

Unlike its namesake, permanent eyeliner is
not actually permanent. Your makeup tastes may change, so having the ability to change your look will keep you feeling your best.

Is the Tattoo Eyeliner Process Painful?

Our technicians use a numbing cream on the area before tattooing to ensure that the treatment is as comfortable for you as possible. You may feel some slight discomfort and there may be a vibration sensation due to the buzzing of the machine. The tattoo eyeliner process should never be painful.

Benefits of Permanent Eyeliner

With permanent eyeliner you will save both money and time. No more trips to the store to then sift through the aisle to find what you’re looking for. No more wasted money on a very short-term solution that has you reapplying daily and purchasing monthly.

No more wasted time trying to perfect your look or trying to remove the smudges. Get some time back and feel confident that you always look great when you get permanent eyeliner.

We can customize the shape and design of your eyeliner to fully accentuate your eyes in a way that makes you happy and ensures you’re feeling great. No more stressing over this for you!

How Long Does Permanent Eyeliner Last?

We are commonly asked, “how long does permanent eyeliner last?” and as mentioned, thankfully not forever. Tattoo eyeliner uses a special pigment that is safe for use on your skin, similar to microneedling for pigmentation of the scalp, microblading, and other common cosmetic procedures.

While there is no perfect timeline of how long your permanent eyeliner will last, there are things that can either keep it longer or lose it faster. How well your skin holds onto the pigment, if your skin is oily, and other factors including the color and technician you choose are aspects affecting the time between sessions.

This cosmetic procedure is a quick 45 minutes to an hour and the permanent eyeliner will maintain its pigmentation between 8 to 12 months before requiring a touch-up. In some cases, you can even go up to 18 months without needing a second appointment.

The right makeup can be life changing! But each person is different. This means there isn’t one style that’s universally perfect for everyone. Are you hoping to find the right personal makeup style for you? Here is a complete guide to achieving that goal and giving yourself the look and feel you’ve always been dreaming of. What Is Your Everyday Makeup Routine? Your personal makeup style should fit into your routine. If you’re a person who wakes up early each day or who has a lot of time in the morning to get ready, you can likely choose a look that requires more effort than if you’re living an active lifestyle or if you routinely find yourself running late in the morning. Remember, this style is about you. It’s supposed to be personal and that means it needs to work with your routine. Yes, you can certainly switch things up when it’s time for an evening out or a big occasion, but you’ll want to first focus on creating an everyday style that works with your life. How Long Do You Spend on Your Makeup? As mentioned, your personal makeup style will depend greatly on how much time you have each day. It will also depend on how much time you want to spend on makeup. Some people enjoy having a lineup of products and going through a complex multi-stage routine everyday. Others want something that’s relatively quick and easy. There are looks that work for just about any lifestyle, so don’t feel like you’re missing out if you’re not the kind of person who will spend a lengthy time applying makeup. Also, if you don’t want to spend a long time on your makeup each day , permanent makeup options could be right for you. Do You Prefer a Natural or Dramatic Look? Do you want something that stands out from the crowd and gives you a dramatic look? Or are you hoping for something more natural? Both options can be beautiful, so it’s really up to personal preference. What sort of image do you want to portray? Let this guide you when you’re putting together a makeup style. What Colors Do You Wear? There will naturally be certain colors that you’re attracted to. Think about the clothes, shoes, and jewelry you wear. Do any sort of trends stick out? If you find that you really like you’re appearance when you’re wearing certain colors, there’s a good chance that these are the colors that best go with your skin tone and your overall look. You can then try to incorporate some of these colors into your makeup style. You may need to do some experimentation to see what works best for you. A color that may not work on your eyes might look great on your lips, for example, so try out a variety of looks and options and then go with what you feel works best. Often trial and error is the best way to find a makeup style that fits. How Do Want to Feel? Everyone wears makeup for different reasons. Some people wear it to smooth their skin and give themselves a more even or more contoured appearance. Others use it to accentuate certain features. You might be wearing makeup because you want to blend in, or you could be doing it to stand out. Think about how you want to feel, then create a look that gives you this feeling. We can help you discover the cosmetic tattoo techniques and makeup styles that are perfect for you. It is our goal to give you the look you’ve been hoping for and to take the stress and hassle out of doing your makeup and looking your best.
